One of the ways I help startups in either the business or nonprofit sector is to have an open dialog with the SCORE client that seeks to align a person's education, skills, work experiences, and life's lessons with the objectives of the new business or organization. The goal of the dialog is to realize how to tie together the client's personal strengths and abilities, and the objectives of the new business or nonprofit, so that they compliment each other.

I have recently retired from a career in Information Technology. I was a university lecturer in Accounting Information Systems for eight years, and worked for Microsoft and Amazon between 1996 and 2021.I am particularly interested in working with minority owned businesses and can offer consulting in both IT and general business development subjects.

Hi! I'm Ernie and together we will hasten your entrepreneurial growth. I enjoy assisting entrepreneurs and small business owners overcome challenges and obstacles they face when they think about starting a business, the initial stages of their business and/or growing their business. I have experienced first-hand the good work that SCORE mentors do to enhance the mentees' business knowledge and overall potential.

I will help you build a business projection to visualize the first (or next) 24 months of your business. Is it viable? How soon will you break even? How many hours will you need to invest? Then I'll help you play "what-if" to optimize your business plans to meet your goals. I will help you compare your options in terms of cost, benefit, and risk. I will help you set up record keeping for finances, invoices, and anything else you need to track.

I like to help people develop their skills and leadership abilities. Many times this involves solving complex problems where a different perspective is beneficial. Perhaps my 35 years of experience building, managing, and ultimately selling many different types of businesses may be useful to others. Entrepreneurial spirit makes our society successful. I'll do whatever I can do to further the success of that spirit.
