The USDA and SCORE, a national organiztion and resource partner with the SBA, have entered an agreement to launch a pilot project in three states.  Minnesota is one of those states.

Our mission is to conduct mentoring activities, host training classes and offer general support on business topics to small agri businesses and farmers in Minnesota.  These can be in business or start up situations.  We will work through the Farm Service Agency's 57 Executive Directors and 17 Farm Loan Managers.  It is estimated there are 40,000 men and women engaged in this industry in Minnesota.

SCORE has identified a cadre of voluteers who have a background in the Agri Business Industry.  Plus you can avail yourself of 14,000 other volunteers across the US.  To use this new service, just click the register button below. A Request for a Mentor form will appear.  Please enter  the code "FARMER" in the field where you describe your need for assistance.  That way we can match you and one of the SCORE volunteer with your need.  Hope to hear from you as this new initiative is introduced.
